Getting Wrong Link Showing For Category

Hi, I'm totally confused as to what is going on. Please see the attached VDO.
Situation Summary:
I set up a sub-category.
Problem: When I click on the sub-category I go to a totally different link which is an 'old custom post type' that I have redirected, and it's a blank page.
Again, please see VDO below.
Also, I granted access to my dashboard.
I can't figure out how to fix this. Suggestions welcomed.
OK! Problem solved!
When I clicked on the sub-menu again and went to that old custom post type, I thought to myself, it has to be a redirection... and sure enough, buried waaaay at the bottom of my long redirection list, there was the problem redirection link.
Solution: Deleted the redirection... a-batta-bing-batta-boom my sub-category is now showing up.

Hi Ken,
Yes if the default links generated isn't working as it normally should, we should check if the link value is filtered or if a plugin is redirecting it.
