Getting the "unauthorized" error when trying to update GP Premium
5 replies · Started by Marc on May 9, 2022
Hello there,
I just relaunched a client website which used GP Premium before. The relaunch is based on an entire new WordPress instance, so nothing has been transferred from the old site. When I now try to update GP Premium in the plugins section, I receive the "unauthorized" error. The same goes for updating through InfiniteWP. Here is what I tried:
- Disable the site in my account
- Re-enter the license key in WP
Can you guide me into the right direction? Thanks a lot.
Marc
Hi there,
This should fix it:

Can you give it a shot?
Hi Leo,
as I said, I already tried to re-authorize the license (multiple times actually). Sorry if I wasn't clear enough.
Manually updating once would be okay, but not on long term, since I'm using InfiniteWP to manage client websites.

Strange. We haven't had any other reports on this solution not working.
Does it work without InfiniteWP?
Leo, strangely enough it now worked. I didn't change anything on the instance since I opened the report, so I guess there was some sort of caching in the way, maybe on the providers end. It's the German provider Strato, which has not the best of reputations. Anyway, thanks a lot for your quick response!
No problem :)
