Hi there,
if i understand it right xml Sitemap is "liked" by the big search engines.
You have one here - https://generatepress.com/wp-sitemap.xml
How is this done?
Is this done by a plugin?

WordPress built them into core back in version 5.5:
https://make.wordpress.org/core/2020/07/22/new-xml-sitemaps-functionality-in-wordpress-5-5/
But there are plugins like Yoast that also do it and provide more functionality.
