Generatepress v3.0.3 causing errors in wordpress backend

I've made a rookie mistake - I updated generatepress to the latest version this afternoon without running a backup first.

I now have an issue where when I go to the 'add new post' page I just have a white page which loads nothing, I have also noticed that if I go to appearance > customise I also get a screen which doesn't load anything. These are the only areas I've noticed a problem.

I've tried deactivating all my plugins one by one to try and find a clash but none of the plugins seem to have made a difference.

I'm running wordpress 5.6.2
Generate press v3.0.3
GP premium 1.12.3

Are there any known issues between these three which could be causing me the problem?

For reference, running plugins are:
Ad inserter v2.6.22
All in one sea v4.0.16
Asset cleanup v1.3.7.5
Convertbox v1.0.17
EDD v2.9.26
EDD - stripe payment gateway v2.8.1
Generate blocks v1.3.1
Link Whisper v1.6.3
Ninja forms v3.5.1
Really simple SSL v4.0.9
Related posts for wordpress v2.0.3
Updraftplus v1.16.47
W3 total cache v2.1.1
Wordfence v7.4.14

Thanks

I'm hesitant to roll back as I have a monthly backup cycle so there's a fair amount to redo if I rollback

Hi Charles,

That's strange. I'm not able to replicate the issue and haven't had other reports on this.

Does the issue happen with all plugins disabled except GP Premium?

If so can you provide the dashboard access for us to take a look with all plugins and custom functions disabled?

Thanks :)

Hi Leo,

Yes - I still get the same problem with all plugins deactivated except GP premium at my end.

Temp access details submitted

Thanks

Can you make sure this is done from my reply above?

Sorry we cannot do that for you.

Hi Leo,

Sorry - I reactivated after I tested earlier - should be all deactivated except GP Premium now

Thanks

Can you test if those issues occur when using a Twenty series WP theme?

Hi Leo

I still have the same problem with the twenty twenty one theme

So that means it's not a GP issue which is why we haven't had other reports on this.

Not sure what the issue is here unfortunately.

Maybe check with your hosting support to see if they can spot anything on their end?

You can ask them to test with Twenty Twenty-One so they can't say it's a theme issue.

Another thing to try is to reinstall WordPress and make sure there are no corrupted files.

Thanks for your help Leo - must have just been unfortunate that it's something that's changed in the last couple of days and the only thing I've changed at my end is updated the GP theme.

I'll check in with my host and see if they've tweaked something at the backend

Sounds good.

Let me know how it goes.

It might be a good idea to start a topic with the WordPress support team as well and see if they've seen similar issues before.
