    Hi there,
I am a doctor building my website with generatepress pro theme and elementor pro.
Today I ran into a difficult problem where the theme is taking over elementor in firefox and in a mobile browser (safari). This seems to be linked to the tagging in Elementor. For example if the text is tagged to H2, it acquires the theme H2 tag. I can’t see this problem with google chrome where everything appears as the elementor desgined template,
It is also ignoring some shadow effects i have created in elementor.
I am using elementor canvas and followed previous insructions with genetarte press integration.
just needs to stop the theme from overriding elementor.

ONE MORE thing I have noticed. The problem seems to be related to creating a template in elementor.
Each section on its own works perfectly well but when I create a pre-set template with some elements that are linked to a preset header design or footer design, everything else gets affected and the elemenor design and effects aren’t displayed.

    kind regards
    Dr. Samir

    Hi there,

GeneratePress shouldn’t overwrite anything in Elementor. If you’re using the Canvas template, the theme is literally removed from the page. No theme related files are included whatsoever.

Can you link me a page where the issue is happening? I might be able to see the issue.

    Hi Tom
    Thanks for the prompt reply.
This page after being designed and looking fine in Chrome
appeared differently with on Firefox with changed top menu and no shadow.
On Mobile phones, IOS the menu is changed.

The matter seems to happen when I use pre-set template designed within elementor.
Within elementor there seems to be HTML Tagging related to the theme and makes it override it.
I don’t know how to separate them.

A link to one of the pages that I changed recently.

    Just a follow up
i have created a new page
    http://www.samirabdelghaffar.com/test3

and has no affiliation or links to preset templates and everything seems to be working fine.
The problem might be in elementor template system.

It looks like it – might be worth checking with them.
