Dear Team,

I am somehow puzzled and disappointed.

Everyone here, is trying their best, to have a lightweight Website and setup.
We optimize, minimize and do other stuff to be better than the Competition
and then we use google analytics and google tag manager and BANG all work for nothing!

Result on my page:
https://www.ihrcoachinginstitut.de

Google Tag Manager:
3 Lines in the GT Matrix Waterfall Report
Size: 75.8 KB; 53.1 KB: 43.7 KB

I used the hook method with 3 elements:
1. Hook WP HEAD for Analytics
2. Two Hooks for Tag Manager WP Head, WP Body Open

Any suggestions?

Best regards,
Julia

Hi there,

yes there is a real sense of hypocrisy when Google dictates page performance metrics and yet it is Google APIs that are some of the worst performance challenges to deal with.

The theme itself has no control over that, we simply provide the hooks to which you can add the scripts.

To improve performance you may want to use a Plugin that defers Javascript loading.
Or you can try doing that manually - see here:
