Hello,
For me “generatepress” is the best template in the market and until today I have worked wonderfully.
In the last days it gives me errors of compatibility with Elementor.
The styles I apply with the editor do not work. Thanks

StaffCustomer SupportHi Daniel,
GP is definitely compatible with Elementor and it’s one of the most popular combos out there.
Keep in mind that Elementor is a page builder so it can overwrites GP’s settings depend on what you are trying to change.
Can you explain your issue a little more? What are you trying to achieve?
A link to your page would also help.
Let us know.

Hello
When I am working on “Elementor” I can apply styles and format changes. But when I close WordPress, all styles are lost.
This is the link on the web page: https://www.espaideal.es/
The icons have a very large format.

Lead DeveloperLead DeveloperHave you reached out to Elementor to see if they know the cause? GP doesn’t have any control over content inserted by other plugins.

Hello Tom!! was a pleassure to talk with you.
The first thing I’ve done is talk to them. “Elementor”
But I have been told that it must be some template error.
I have tried with the theme Twenty Seventeen.
With “Twenty Seventeen” everything seems to work well.
I’m very confused
I hope you can help me
ThanksMarch 27, 2017 at 10:02 am #298017Tom
Lead DeveloperLead DeveloperLooking at the CSS/HTML of the image, there’s nothing telling it what size it should be. I’m not sure how Elementor sizes their images, but if they could point out what exactly in the theme could be overwriting their sizes it would be helpful.
As of right now, there’s no conflicting CSS/HTML when viewing the site in developer tools.
Let me know what they say π

This is what they say:
“Check if you have an update for the theme that you are using.
It seems that some CSS of your theme is overriding the one of Elementor.
You can report this problem to the developers of the theme that you are using.”thanks π

Lead DeveloperLead DeveloperAny chance you can update to 1.3.46 now that I’ve seen what it should look like?

Daniel,
Not sure if you are aware of this, but if you want Elementor to use the Colors and Fonts that you have set up in GeneratePress, then go to Dashboard > Elementor > Settings and tick both the Disable Global Colors and Disable Global Fonts > Save Changes.
Doing so will let Elementor use these values from GeneratePress. You can of course still override them from within Elementor on a case by case basis.
Cheers!

Tutorials and tips for GeneratePress, WP Show Posts, WordPress and ElementorMarch 28, 2017 at 1:42 am #298299dmmaso
Hello Tom,
I would like to be able to upgrade to the latest version of GP.
Why is this happening?
At the moment I have version 1.3.45 installed because it does not give me errors.Thank you

Lead DeveloperLead DeveloperThe only difference between 1.3.45 and 1.3.46 is a bug fix when saving posts. 1.3.45 was the big update with lots of changes.
You can update the theme in “Appearance > Themes”.
Once done, clear all of your browser caching/plugin caching if you have it.
Then let me know if the problem persists.

It is not a cache problem. I have already deleted all caches.
When I reinstall version 1.3.46 I will tell you if the problem persists.
Thanks

Lead DeveloperLead DeveloperSounds good. There’s literally no difference to the front end of the site from 1.3.45 to 1.3.46. There’s about 3 lines of code that were changed that occur when you save a post.
