StaffCustomer SupportHi there,
GenerateBlocks adds the following 4 blocks to the Gutenberg editor from WordPress:
https://docs.generateblocks.com/article/container-overview/
https://docs.generateblocks.com/article/grid-overview/
https://docs.generateblocks.com/article/headline-overview/
https://docs.generateblocks.com/article/buttons-overview/I would say that GB enhances the Gutenberg editor and makes it much more useful.
Those 4 blocks allow you to create all kinds of layout that you can’t do it with the default blocks from WordPress.
You can see lots of examples in our site library:
https://generatepress.com/site-library/Let me know if this answers your question.

StaffCustomer SupportYou definitely don’t want to use a page builder with GenerateBlocks.
GB is supposed to act as a page builder but in a much non-bloated style.
If you prefer to use a page builder then you don’t need to use GB – only one or another :).
Have you checked out the GB sites in our site library?
https://generatepress.com/site-library/All of the GB sites there are not using a page builder.

What theme makes generate blocks page speed load as fast as possible? I am thinking about trying to use Generate Blocks on a Generatepress site is that what they are designed for? I seem to be getting an error that says classic styler is not compatible with Generate Blocks.

StaffCustomer SupportHi there,
do you mean which Site from our Site Library ?
If so – then they are not different themes, they simply contain different content and layouts. The performance difference between them is minimal, the only impact on page loading times is the amount of images ( and the image sizes ) they are loading. You won’t need any additional plugins to style the content created by GenerateBlocks as it has full styling controls built in.

Would there be any reason to use GenerateBlocks and Gutenberg Blocks together?

StaffCustomer SupportHi Margaret,
Generateblocks is not something that replaces Gutenberg, in fact, it just offers certain types of blocks, just like the other blocks in Gutenberg editor. You could totally create content using GB mix with other blocks.
Using blocks from Generateblocks usually gives you more control over the content, that’s all.

Thanks, Ying!
I’m also looking at this plugin
https://ultimategutenberg.com/It looks like it was developed with the Astra theme in mind. Do you know if this plugin works well with GeneratePress?

StaffCustomer SupportI never used this plugin, but as long as it’s a block plugin, it should work with GP 🙂
