[Resolved] GeneratePress 2.0 – Footer Widgets

Think I made this a comment on the 2.0 Alpha Post but didn’t see it or an “awaiting moderation” notice so I wanted to bring it up. Sorry if it’s duplicated…

I was testing a new install and found an issue with Footer Widgets and not sure if it’s GP or me. I installed the theme unit test and set the homepage to “Front Page” from that and then Edit Page and the new layout meta box to edit footer widgets but it didn’t save.

I’m using GeneratePressVersion: 2.0-alpha.1 and GP Premium 1.5.5. Are they supposed to play nice together at this point or is this expected?

I did a video Screenshot of the workflow @ https://www.screencast.com/t/hT9ZxQXFyXd (on GP Premium 1.5.4 but issue persisted on upgrade to 1.5.5). I can send a login if you want in the backend of that demo/test but maybe it’s me so let me know if I did something dumb 🙂
