Hi, I had a hard time today when some users told me that many pages on my website were down. My hosting support service told me that some plugins can cause 503 errors.
Turns out it was the GenerateBlocks plugin. I don't know if this is a bug or a sign that I shouldn't be using this plugin anymore, which would be a pity as I really liked it.
Here's the proof: Youtube video

Hi there,

are you using any Reusable Blocks on the site? As the only time we have seen this is when there is a Reusable Block nested inside itself.

Hi David,

Yes, I have 9 reusable blocks. I use them a lot, I didn't know it was bad practice.
Is there any way to fix it? When the plugin is activated, I cannot access the editor.

The issue occurs if you create a reusable block, then add another reusable block inside it. This became an issue after WP 5.7 updated the reusable block.

You will need to disable the GB Block plugin.
Edit a post, and from the 3 dot menu in the top bar select Manage All Reusable blocks - where you can change their status to Draft. Then re-enable GB - and one by one re-publish the Reusable blocks to see which one(s) are causing the problem.

Thanks, I found a reusable block with those characteristics. I think that solves the problem.

Thank you, David!

Awesome - glad to be of help!
