    Hello,
I’m trying to create a new Element with a Container within. (Content Template for a post)

Right here in the help docs it shows that there should be a Container “full width” option:

However, on my side I have the following options:

    Under Container > Layout
    -Block,
    -Inline Block,
    -Flex,
    -etc.

Why’s that the case/how to solve this?
    Thanks

    Hi there,

If it’s for a content template, you can leave the container either full width or contained width, both should work, and set the inner container to contained.

And if you just start to use GB blocks, it’s better to upgrade to GB 1.7, as since GB 1.7 the container block doesn’t have an inner container anymore.

    Thanks for the reply.
Unfortunately I am not able to see “full width” option.

    I only have these options.

    -Block,
    -Inline Block,
    -Flex,
    -etc.

And yes, I’m on GB 1.7

    Hi there,

we will be uploading new Documentation very soon.
Have a read hear for the general changes we made in GB 1.7

    https://generateblocks.com/flexbox-sizing-tabs-accordions-more/

    TLDR:
In GB 1.7 we removed the “hidden” inner container. You now get to choose to add another Container inside if you need it.
The inner container is only required if you want to restrict the width of the content inside it.

So if you want a Container that is:

    a. Full Width and has Full width content – then just add a Container Block. And thats it.

    b. Full Width and has contained inner content eg. 1200px wide – then add a Container Block to the top level of the page, and in its Toolbar click the Insert Inner Container Button.

With option b you will see there are 2 blocks, one inside the other, if you select the inner block, you can adjust its Width in the Size panel.

Let me know if that helps
