    Hi
I am using the GB heading block along with the Table of contents block – that can be downloaded from here:
    https://wordpress.org/plugins/advanced-gutenberg-blocks/

The problem is, that heading created with GenerateBlock do not work with the table of contents block.
Changing them to the core heading block does work.
What I noticed is that the GB will no allow an ID to be added to the heading tag, while the core heading block do allow.
That is why the GB headings do not show up in the TOC.

Any ideas how to solve this as I do want to use the GB heading in my articles.

    Thanks!
    Dan

    Hi Dan,

There should be an ID option in the Headline block: https://www.screencast.com/t/Iph7xnCpdA

    Are you not seeing that?

    Let me know ๐Ÿ™‚

The plugin automatically adds the id to the heading. no need to add them manually. It does so with the core heading blocks but not with the GB heading blocks.

In that case, it’s likely that the plugin is specifically targeting the core Heading block. They would need to check for the Headline block as well or change the way they target elements to look for headings (h1-h6).

I see, so it’s best to contact the plugin developer and ask him to target a wider set of blocks, ie all heading tags.

    Thanks

    Hi Dan,
I have had the same issue and would like to do the same thing.
Did you get any joy from that TOC plugin developer?

    Cheers,
    Rob

    Hi Rob, no.
But maybe if you contact him too it could help.

    Hi @arcticsail,

We have added support for third-party heading blocks before.

I believe we can do it for GenerateBlocks too.

Please allow us some time to look into it.

We will let you know as soon as we have something.

    Kind Regards.
