Generateblocks: global style button > color issue
5 replies · Started by Oliver on April 7, 2023
Hi,
in GP-Blocks I created a button with a global style with a current (white) and a different (purple) hover text-color.
In GP-Elements I created a block hook (container with a button) which is generated after content on every page. In this block hook I use the global button style. Everything works fine when I check this block hook in the editor.
But when I integrate this element on a page the current and hover color of the button are not the ones I addressed in the global styles.
I cleared the cache, meaning I used incognito mode of my browser. I also checked the general colors in the customizer. Nothing changed.
However, when I create a new page, add a container with a button in it and use the the button global style for that button everything works fine.
I hope I made myself clear.
Unfortunately I cannot show you the site because I am developing it right now on a local machine. Sorry.
Any ideas?
Thanks for help. Greetings from Berlin.
Oliver
Hi Oliver,
The color may be overridden by other CSS.
Can you link us to your site and point us to the button?
Please make sure your cache plugin is off, so we can see the CSS clearly.
Let me know!
Hi Ying,
I cannot link you to my site. As I already wrote - I am on a local machine in a local environment.
Additional CSS is also not an issue. I checked it already.
Any other ideas.
Thanks.
Hi Oliver,
Unfortunately we would need to see the issue live and inspect the code to be able to identify the cause.
Also, Global style is a GB pro feature so we aren't allowed to support it here as it's a separate product.
Once you have a live site for us to inspect, can you open a support topic here?
https://generate.support/
You can activate your support key for both GP Premium and GenerateBlocks there as we will be merging the support system soon.
Thanks :)
Ok, thanks Leo.
Thank you!
