Maurizio
I’m trying to replace the text “CART” in primary navigation with an icon. I’ve put a filter in functions.php (of my child theme) as shown in the documentation but it doesn’t work. Can you help me please?

StaffCustomer SupportHi there,
Looks like it’s working to me: http://www.screencast.com/t/LXIKKxH4

Actually, in http://www.screencast.com/t/LXIKKxH4 it’s still written “cart”… Maybe I misunderstood your kind reply. Thank you.

StaffCustomer SupportAhh I thought you wanted the text CART.
The default from GP should be a shopping cart icon, do you have loading essentials icons only checked?

Sorry for the misunderstanding. I’ve setup generatepress to load essential icons only. I’ve tried to uncheck to see if there was any difference as well. I tried to remove the filter from functions.php since you’ve told me that cart icon should be there by default. The issue is still there. No question of life or death, but I’d like to solve this 🙂

StaffCustomer SupportJust to make sure…the load essentials icons is Unchecked and you are not using this filter? https://docs.generatepress.com/article/generate_fontawesome_essentials/

Exactly: “Load essential icons only” is checked and I’m not using the filter. Thank you.

I’ve already tried all the possible combos. Unchecked but “CART” is still there 🙁

StaffCustomer SupportThat’s really strange. This is what happens when I uncheck it: http://www.screencast.com/t/8uwt3FQ2jQw
Can you try disabling all non-GP plugins and test it again?
If it still doesn’t work, can you provide admin access to us?
You can send it through Account Issue here: https://generatepress.com/contact/

Done! I disabled all the non-GP plugins, but it didn’t worked. Then I switched the theme from my child theme to parent and then back to child again. Now my icon is finally there. Thank you very much for your support and prompt replies!!! GP rocks! Bye from Slovenia!
