    Hi,

When I create a generate_after_entry_title hook in Elements with plain text in the content (or anything for that matter) and set the location to the ‘Entire Site’ and then press Publish, nothing is happening on any page of the website. If I change the hook to generate_before_content, the text appears as expected.

I’ve tried disabling all the site plugins except GP Premium with the same result.

Here are screenshots of the hook settings:

Am I doing something wrong or is there a problem with the generate_after_entry_title hook?

    I’m running..
    WP Version 5.5.1
    GP Version 3.0.2
    GP Premium Version 1.12.2

Thanks very much for your help.

    Chris

    Hi,

I believe this will help you.
    https://docs.generatepress.com/article/hooks-visual-guide/

You seem to be editing a static page. Please refer to the static page visual hooks image for hooks.

For pages, I believe you can use generate_after_entry_header.

By the way, I’ve checked your page and you’re not using the page title/header.

I believe what you’re trying to do is make a shortcode execute under “Welcome to Park CP School!”?

If so, you must place “Welcome to Park CP School!” as the page title, else the shortcode would just appear above the “Welcome to Park CP School!” text because it is currently added as part of the content rather than the page’s header/title.

    Hi Elvin,

    Brilliant. That was my problem.

The visual hook guide is very useful. I’ll use it next time.

Thank you very much for taking the time to identify my problem.
