generate press + woocommerce

I am trying to do some research about integrating Woocommerce into my Blog... will this completely change my current theme? Or can I just create a new 'shop' page/menu that takes people to the E-commerce portal/store...?
I guess I'm just a bit confused on how this integrates to my current blog, and what impacts it may have on my traffic and ranking etc. Any help or tips are much appreciated!

you can install and activate the Woocommerce plugin on any site - it won't interfere with your settings. However, theres a lot of work involved in setting up woocommerce, so i would recommend creating a staging site ( your host should be able to help with that ) and then you can install the plugin and set it up without affecting the live site.
