[Support request] Generate Press Recent Posts Widget Customization

Can the Recent Posts Widget be edited somehow to look similar to what I am currently using? https://glendaembree.com The Feast plugin I use pulls the last posts like this widget, but displays them in a nice grid with featured images. I can choose how many images across for desktop and for mobile. Can the GP Recent Posts Widget be configured to do that? I would prefer not to have to renew my current plugin when the subscription ends, if possible.

Hi there,

Recent Posts is a WP Block / Widget – and it has very little customization controls.

In WP 5.8 they introduced the Query Loop block which does have some more controls:

Later this year we’ll be introducing our own Query Loop Block for GenerateBlocks which will have unlimited styling controls.

Thanks David! I ended up doing some checking around on my own and found a more affordable and customizable plugin than I had been using. I’m using Content Views Pro, now, and I absolutely love it.

Unfortunately, it still only does post indexes and not a category index.

I’m looking for a plugin, similar to the Feast Plugin’s Simple Category List. It allows me to select specific categories to create an index with images. I haven’t figured out anything similar, yet, with GP or another plugin.
