Generate Press Premium Elements vs Generate Blocks

Hi, I just switched from Astra/Elementor to GP. And I am a little confused about the difference between GP Elements nad Generate Blocks. If I want to build an archive page, do I use GP Elements or Blocks? Where can I start?

Hi Leo, sorry, actually what I would like to do is to design my frontpage with 3 sections:
1) first a hero image,
2) then a section with a list of the category items,
3) the final section is a list of the (archive) blog posts
How can I create each of these sections? Any other plugin I need to download?
Do you have an example of a list of category items look like?
