[Resolved] GB Headline/Icon link

There is a current discussion on FB regarding links in the headline block.
(Looks like the person has a specific issue)
But it raised an interesting point!
When you link the headline text, if you have an icon, that is not part of the link
Thoughts on this ?
(I’m using 1.1 RC2)

Hi David,

The icon itself is outside of the headline (inside the headline wrapper), so the link would need to surround the entire wrapper in order to do this.

In some ways, it would have been preferable to have the icon inside the actual headline element, but Gutenberg didn’t make it possible.

Linking the container could definitely become an option 🙂
