    Dear Community,

After installing the the theme, my gallery button in the WP backend disappears.
    Can anyone help?

    Hi Julia,

If you’re looking for the media library, it should be Media > Library in your admin dashboard. If that’s not what you’re referring to, can you revert to the previous theme you had temporarily, and take a screenshot of the “Gallery Button”?

    Reference to sharing screenshots: https://docs.generatepress.com/article/using-the-premium-support-forum/#uploading-screenshots

It would be good to take a backup of your site before doing this.

Or, if you could describe where we can find this button and what it does, that would help as well.

That’s not a default item in WordPress admin dashboard. What theme were you using previously? It might be coming from the theme you had.

For instance, if you try a WordPress theme like Twenty Twenty-One, no “Gallery” item should exist there by default as well.

    Dear Fernando,

    Thanks for the advice.
    This is very helpful.

In the last Theme I had Gallerys, that I included in the site.
Any idea how I can do that with Generatepress?

Do I have to solve it via Pages and add Galleries there?

    Best,
    Julia

    Hi there,

if you just want to add the odd Gallery to the odd page then you can use the Gallery Block that comes with WordPress core.

If you need something more advanced as you have many galleries and want features like Lightboxes then i would suggest using a Plugin like Envira or Modula Image Gallery
