    Hi guys,

    I need some help please. I can’t seem to get my gallery widget to display the thumbnails in a nice grid/square view?
    Some of the images are portrait unfortunately, so would like it to show as square or same size in the grid. How do I achieve this?

    Thank you in advance.

    Regards,
    Jhorene

    Hi there,

    Your site is under coming soon page so unfortunately we cannot see what kind of gallery you are using (There isn’t a gallery add-on from GP premium).

    Let me know 🙂

    Hi Leo,

    Sorry about that. The site is published now so you should be able to see the page I’m referring to.

    If it’s not part of GP premium then it’s probably part of Elementor and I confused the two.

    Regards,

    Hi Jhorene,

    two choices:
    1. Use only square images.
    2. Set the image size in the Elementor Gallery Widget to Thumbnail – this is cropped square.

    You can create your own custom size for a new cropped image, so as not to effect all your thumbnails with this PHP Snippet (just change the 300 and 300 to size you want):

    add_action('after_setup_theme', 'tu_add_image_sizes');
    function tu_add_image_sizes() {
        add_image_size( 'cropped-300-300', 300, 300, true ); // (cropped)
    }

    How to add PHP (would recommend the code snippets plugin):
    https://docs.generatepress.com/article/adding-php/

    Once this is done you will have a new size to select from. However first you must regenerate the thumbnails for the images you have already uploaded. Use this plugin:
