Future Flexbox Version

I'm very much interested in a Flexbox version of GP.
Will it be possible to simply convert current GP sites to Flexbox GP? Or would I need to rebuild a site using the Flexbox version?
What about GenerateBlocks? I realize the block set is currently in beta, but not knowing planned release dates for a 1.0 version or the GP Flexbox version I have to ask how you anticipate the blocks would fare with GP Flexbox :-)
I build sites for clients and have just begun using GP Premium, after years of building on StudioPress. We need to include a solid block set & have been frustrated in the recent past by block plugin updates that changed or broke existing sites.

I'm hoping to get the Flexbox version of GP out this year.
It will likely be a toggle in the Customizer to activate the Flexbox version. For existing sites, it will be off by default, for new sites, it will be on. That will ensure there's no compatibility issues.
GenerateBlocks will work the same, regardless of the GP version.
