Function not working

Hi,
We have a website where it seems like some codes are not working when we change theme to generate press.
Example
[button href= ..... text[/button]
Do you know if we need to do anything to make the codes work after changing the theme?

Hi Rohan,
That looks like a Shortcode. I would assume that most likely, it’s a shortcode that is provided by and only works with your previous theme.
You can check this by trying to use a WordPress theme like Twenty Twenty One and see if the Shortcode will work there.
If it doesn’t work, we can confirm that the code can only be used in your previous theme.
If so, unless you get the code for that shortcode to work from the theme, it wouldn’t work for any other them.
