Full-width and contained width page templates with page builder & gutenberg

Hi All
I have a large site on working on where there's a requirement to have a mix of page builder pages (using Elementor) alongside standard Wordpress gutenberg created pages. I've created a default template using Elements targeting all pages which is full-width for the Elementor theme builder page template so sections can span full-width etc.
However I want the pages using standard gutenberg block editor to be contained as these will be simpler text based information pages.
I can't work out how to set up the display rules within Elements to get this to work. Also I've tried overidding the page's layout settings to contained at the page level but because the Elements display rules is targeting all pages it doesn't seem to override it.
Wondering if anyone has come across this same type of issue and solved it?
Hi Gary,
Can you try exclude the Gutenburg pages in the display rule of the layout element?
How many pages need to be full width and how many pages need to be contained?
Let me know :)
Hi Ying
Thanks for the quick reply. I did consider that route, but unforunately I don't think that will work that well in this scenario.
There's over 150 pages to this site, plus the client will be adding to these in the future, so I was hoping for something dynamic behind the scenes using the templating as it will not be that intuitive for them to keep adding display rules dependent on the page types.
Thanks
In this case, it might be easier to use CSS.
Can you link us to your site so I can see if we can work out a CSS solution?
Would be nice if you can link these 2 types of pages.
Let me know :)
