I am looking for the content container option in order to set my site to full width. That option doesnt appear for me. Could it be that I need to activate an add on to see it?

Hi there,

when you edit a post or page you should see the Layout panel in the settings sidebar:

https://docs.generatepress.com/article/content-container/

If you don't see the Layout Panel, go to the 3 dot menu in the top bar -> Preferences -> Panels tab and make sure the Layout is enabled.

I am not seeing this. Could it be because I don't use the page builder?
I built the pages with the classic editor.
The only option I see for the width is to set the pixels. I want to set the width side wide not per page.

If there isn't an option to set the width to 100% (hopefully there is) then how many pixels should it be to get a full layout?

Hi Nicole,

Are you not seeing the entire Layout meta field settings? They should appear even with the Classic Editor enabled.

In the top right, there should be a screen options button. Click it, and make sure Layout is enabled.

An alternative to set a page to full width is to use a Layout Element: https://docs.generatepress.com/article/layout-element-overview/

Great. Thanks.

You're welcome Nicole!
