What would be the best size to show archive shop pages in full width while the rest in container lets say 1300px?

    Hi there,

i am not sure i fully understand – generally Full Width would be set to 100% so it fills the entire screen no matter what the size of the monitor.

Are you looking to have a wider width shop page and narrower width content pages ?

    Exactly!

I would like to have shop pages use all the width possible in desktop mode: so I can fit in column with filters/categories and four rows of products with quite big pics.

But the single product pages, content pages, cart, etc. – I would like narrower – around 1300px

Is that possible to set up with some global rules?

You can use a Layout Element and set a greater Content Width:

    https://docs.generatepress.com/article/layout-element-overview/

In its Display Rules locations you can set it to Product Archives ( for the Shop Page ) and any Product Category Archives as well.

I would suggest just setting a really hight Width value – don’t select the Full Width option as this will remove the themes padding.

Awesome! That’s the thing I was looking for, but could not think of it! 🙂
