FTP Accounts on host

When I update the GP theme or the GP Premium plugin, are new FTP accounts created on my host? Same for WordPress updates and new plugins? I ask because I have more than 10 FTP accounts that were created on my host since installing WordPress and the GP theme. WordPress is the only application running on my host (Bluehost).

no - WP and Plugin updates simply replace the relevant files on that site, they would not be creating additional accounts.
