2. Do you have GenerateBlocks plugin installed? https://wordpress.org/plugins/generateblocks/

If so, you can add 2 imageblock with links to a GB's containerblock. Once it's done, we can help with some custom CSS.

sorry I tried the color setting completely. the hover color can be changed but unfortunately not the start color black. What am I doing wrong ?

Can you try disable all plugins except GP premium and Woocommerce to test?

The product page looks a bit different from a default product page which's only using Woocommerce and GP.

I deleted the site from the shop and deleted all plugins.

I still had the woocommerce Blocks plugin turned on. however, that's the same page now.

Could it be that I haven't installed GenerateWP correctly yet.
How can I tell?
