Footer with 3 column

Dear colleagues,
We are looking to reproduce our original footer, as a 3 column, so that we can add widget | logo | widget like we currently have.
As far as we noticed the default footer only allow copyright, on a single column.

for that layout i would be inclined to build the footer using a Block Element:

With the GenerateBlocks plugin you'll be able to create your own responsive grid for that layout.
Otherwise its going to be a case of stacking a bunch of widgets and throwing a fair amount of CSS at it.

Yes, we also thought that much and will be creating that particular part of the footer using the Blocks, however, just wanted to confirm if we could do it differently.
