Footer Widgets Missing on Frontpage
3 replies · Started by Chris on June 29, 2017
The footer widgets have gone missing on the front page of a single site using GP. The #footer-widgets div isn't appearing in the source and only the front page is affected.
I've looked at the front page through Customise and it states "Your theme has 6 other widget areas, but this particular page doesn’t display them" and the footer widget areas are not listed when editing widgets on the front page only in Customise.
Note: The footer element (where the copyright sits) is displaying fine.
I've also tried disabling all plugins, but the #footer-widgets div still isn't appearing, despite the four footer widget areas being populated. Any assistance would be appreciated.
Thanks!
Chris
Hi there,
Can you first make sure it's not set to 0 in the metabox for that page?
https://docs.generatepress.com/article/footer-widgets/#change-the-number-of-footer-widgets-on-individual-pages-posts
If not any chance you can link us to the site? Thanks!
Hi Leo,
I can't believe I spent an age looking for that and it was right under my nose. Footer Widgets metabox was toggled closed and dragged to a different place to normal so missed it. :-|
Thanks very much for you help.
Chris
No problem! :)
