Footer widget widths for different devices

I set the footer widget widths via php snippet for 5 widget areas like so:
Widget 1: 100%
Widget 2,3,4: 33%
Widget 5: 100%
But on tablets, 1-4 all switch to 50%. How can I customize the widths for each region for tablets?
