Attempting to position the footer logo, currently is stuck on the left, and I am unsure how to use your commands "left top, x% y%, xpos ypos (px)" to achieve positioning.
Can you provide clear instructions on using these commands?

Hi there,
The backgrounds add-on is more for background images like patterns, landscapes etc..
If you'd like to add your image into the copyright area, I would use HTML in the "Customize > Copyright" area like this:
<img src="URL TO YOUR IMAGE" alt="" />
