William
Hey Guys,
Loving the theme so far. Will definitely be using this on all future sites as the responsiveness is unparalleled.
Just some small confusion relating to the Footer. When you install the theme templates, the template footers don’t install. Is there a way to get the same footer layouts within the website footer to give me a starting point or will I need to code these myself?
I’m using a child theme, I don’t know if this impacts anything?
Thanks,
Will

StaffCustomer SupportHi William,
Any chance you can link us to the site in question?
You can use the private information field.

StaffCustomer SupportNo worries, could you go to Appearance > Elements, check if there’s a block element (footer).
If yes, is it published?

StaffCustomer SupportThat’s strange. Which site did you import?

Hi Leo,
I used the Search template. Have I not installed it correctly?
Thanks,
Will

StaffCustomer SupportDefinitely not your mistake – I don’t think it’s possible to install it incorrectly.
Is this a live site with traffic? If yes then I think the best solution would be to recreate the block element with the HTML code here:
https://pastebin.com/g2aEf0HGYou need to click the 3 dots on the upper right corner, select Code Editor, copy and paste the Pastebin code linked above, then switch back to the visual editor, then add the display rule as seen here:
https://www.screencast.com/t/wDUERdSvSO9If this is not a live site with traffic, you could try GPP 2.0 which is currently in Alpha 4:
https://generatepress.com/introducing-the-gp-theme-builder/The site library has been completely re-written there and I wonder if it would fix the issue.
Let me know 🙂

Hi Leo,
That sounds like something I could give a go. This is not live yet, it’s just in build.
Can you clarify, will this break the front end design customisations I’ve made so far?
Thanks,
Will

StaffCustomer SupportHi there,
installing GPP 2.0 alpha won’t affect the customisations you have already made.
I would recommend creating a staging site to test on – that way you can make any changes without affecting your current site – and if the results are good you can then push the changes to the live site. -
