Footer formatting odd on posts and category page

Hi there,

I just imported blog post content from another WP site using an XML file, and since then my footer element isn't formatting correctly on those pages.

Examples:
https://mammothrealestateblog.com/mammoth-lakes-brokers-report
https://mammothrealestateblog.com/2021/03/mammoth-real-estate-sales-report-march-14-2021.html

Vs. how it should look: https://mammothrealestateblog.com/blog

I tried excluding the footer element from those pages/posts and reactivating, no luck. I made sure all the settings on that element are (I think) set up correctly - I didn't change anything on the footer element before it happened, so wondering if it's because I imported the posts. I checked the post settings and didn't see anything off in there, but I could be missing something. It's showing up with all the text just not the images/formatting.

This sales report category was the only category I imported, but it's happening on all pages/posts categorized mammoth-lakes-brokers-report. Let me know if you have any ideas to get it fixed!

Hi there,

Can you check on Appearance > Elements for any new Block element that might've been added from importing the XML file?

Block, Header, Hook and Layout Elements are custom post types. It's possible that they've been imported from your previous site to the current site you're working on.

But since you've mentioned you've only imported something specific, that seems strange.

Another thing to check is, do you have GenerateBlocks plugin installed and activated? The blocks are using Generateblocks but I don't see its assets being loaded by the page.

Hi Elvin,

I don't see any new block elements in the Appearance - Elements folder. Nothing new or changed. The old site was built with a different theme/page builder years ago, not Generate Blocks, so not sure if it would pull something over?

I do have the Generate Blocks plugin installed and activated, but I also use the Classic Editor for some posts, so it looks like these all imported as Classic Editor. I've tried changing them to Block style but that doesn't fix the footer layout issue.

It appears to only be happening on SOME posts/pages...

eg This page has the wonky footer: https://mammothrealestateblog.com/mammoth-lakes-brokers-report, but page 2 of that same category it looks fine: https://mammothrealestateblog.com/mammoth-lakes-brokers-report/page/2 Pages 3 & 4 are fine, page 5 is wonky.

And this post that was already on the site before the import is having the issue (same category though): https://mammothrealestateblog.com/2021/03/mammoth-real-estate-sales-report-february-28-2021.html But this one (was already on the site before) is good: https://mammothrealestateblog.com/2021/01/mammoth-real-estate-sales-report-january-31-2021.html I can't seem to find different settings on the page or anything.

Thanks for any insight you have!

Hi Ying, thank you!

I am using the SG Optimizer plugin, but it was deactivated already. I activated it, purged the SG cache, and re-deactivated it. The setting was already set to Inline Embedding. Should I try doing the External File, saving it, then going back to Inline Embedding?

The footer formatting is still off whether SG Optimizer is activated or not. I've cleared my browser cache several times as well.

Let me know if you have any other suggestions. Thanks so much!

Do you have simple CSS? If so, could you try to disable it as well?

If it still doesn't work, could you try to disable all plugins except GP premium and Generateblocks to eliminate conflicts from other plugins? Thanks!

Oh I do have that! Just disabled that one, still looks the same. I'll work on the plugins right now and report back. Thanks!

I disabled all other plugins except for GP Premium, Generate Blocks, and Really Simple SSL (got a warning message about deactivating that one). Cleared browser cache and tried incognito browser, and the footer still isn't formatted correctly. Any other ideas? Thanks!

It looks like the cache is still there, maybe try clear cache again?

If it still doesn't work, could you share the credential in the private info field?

Let me know :)

Browser cache or the SG cache? Will add credentials!

Admin access, please :)

This is definitely a weird issue...

Added below, thanks!

Hi there,

very peculiar - as a test what happens if you create a new Block Element - something simple with some GB Styles and hook that into the footer of an imported post - does that show the styles ?
