Footer Creation (per David)

I would like to know how to create a custom coloured footer as raised by another user. I did kind of manage earlier, with 3 widgets, but for some reason they were aligning over to the left a bit, it didn't look good so I disabled it.
Any help would be greatly appreciated, thank you.

What do you mean by custom colored?
You can add your own colors to the footer in Customize > Colors > Footer.
