    Hi,

according to your instructions, I am trying to integrate locally hosted fonts (child theme) so that the Font Manager in the Customizer displays the OpenSans. If I control the fonts via css, the output works. But in the FontsManager > Add Font > Search Fonts the OpenSans is not displayed. What am I doing wrong?

And … may I also keep the path to the fonts relative? When I upload the fonts via MediaManager, they are located in the directory /wp-content/uploads/2022/11 … What would be the exact path designation in my case?

Can I also upload the fonts to a different directory?
    Example: /wp-content/uploads/webfonts

Is the FontsManager able also access these files or does this only work via css? Does your provided code for function.php work in this case too?

thanks in advance for your great help

    Hi there,

if you have completely disabled Google fonts in the Customizer then they won’t show in the list.
Instead in Font Manager > Add Font you simply type in the name of the font, it needs to be family-name you included in your @font-face CSS

Hi, I have a related question: If I put the css in the Customizer, then the font works. If I put it in the child theme’s style.css, the font doesn’t work. What can I do to free up the Customizer by adding the font css in the child theme’s style.css file?

If I put it in the child theme’s style.css, the font doesn’t work

Both ways would work, it’s likely you have some errors in the style.css.

    Hi David,

as you can see I named the font-family: 'OpenSans-Light'; in @font-face (local hosted) … but is isn’t displayed in the FontsManager. Something doesn’t work.

    Hi Sporenborg,

We can’t access the site right now. It seems your Server is down. Can you check this with your Host Provider first?

We’ll recheck the issue once the site is up.

Sorry i am a little confused.
I can see you have manually added the Fonts to the Font Manager.
And those are selectable in the Typography manager:
