    Hi!

I’m looking to upload a non-google font and read the documentation on adding custom fonts and local fonts. I created a child theme and added the php code from the documentation in my php child theme folder (the code i added i found here: https://docs.generatepress.com/article/adding-local-fonts/) However I’m confused as to whether or not I need to delete it at some point? Also I read in the other support topics that I’d need to create a fonts folder in my child theme and am confused as to how to properly go about that. Thank you !!

    Hi there,

first off yes, you need to add a Fonts Folder inside your child theme. You will need to access the child theme folder via FTP or any file editor your host server provides. All fonts should be placed inside that.

The PHP snippet goes inside the Child Theme functions.php and must remain there for the fonts to load.
