Font weight has changed after updating from GP 2.4.2 to 3.0.2

Hi
I'm experiencing a weird problem with font weights. Since the update to GP 3.0.2, fonts appear thinner on my Mac (desktop and laptop). This is true for the system stack, system fonts, as well as Google fonts.
The previous normal font weight was easier to read, so I'm keen to figure out what might be causing this?
