Hi Tom, I have the typography add-on activated. Is there a way to use a different font-family for a particular word using GP's fonts?

Not with the add-on I'm afraid.
You'll have to manually grab the font from Google Fonts and add it to the wp_head hook in GP Hooks.
Then you'll need to add the CSS Google Fonts gives you to your class which you'll have to wrap your word with.
