thats another 40K being loaded in, can we reduce this one too?

Yup, just don't use a Google font. There's a list of default fonts at the top of the typography select control.

ok got it thanks. opensans is nice though but any idea why it loads 2 times on my homepage and 3 times other pages? I only have it set now for content nothing else? thanks!

Google makes calls for different files to ensure cross browser compatibility.

GP also makes a preconnect call to make the loading of the font faster.
