Font Awesome Problems

The 3 sites linked below are all using the same markup and css for the before header hook. The first site produces the correct result, the other two do not.

Font awesome background circles are not displayed correctly

Font awesome icons do display at all. I've deactivated and deleted all plugins, switched themes, reset database, and finally reinstalled WP. There are no changes to the functions.php file. No related errors in cPanel, and all caching is turned off. The syntax for Font Awesome can be seen in the source, and the stylesheet rules are there on inspection. Checked with Siteground support for any issues at their end (none).
All sites are the latest version of GP and GPP - why would they all render differently?

What's the CSS you are adding?
For the one that isn't displaying, is the load essential CSS unchecked?

I would also recommend that instead of using the before header hook, try the top bar widget area.
It should give you the same layout and make everything simpler.

The Top Bar will work fine yeah. I'd completely forgotten about it to be honest.
