thank you very much for the quick reply and please excuse that I could not make clear what I want to achieve with my question.

You are absolutely right, I want it to look like it does with the "Make first post featured" option. However, I don't want the first post placed there, but an evergreen post or from the "featured post" category.

I was able to create this in my local installation with two query loops, but if I then use pagination and the post loop goes over multiple pages, the evergreen post is also always shown in the same place on the subsequent pages. But I want to have it only on the first page. Is that possible?

Hi Gerd,

You can try adding a Query Loop Parameter to exclude the "featured" post.

Then, we can probably try using custom CSS to hide it if the page is not the first one.

Once you've added the parameter, share the link to the page in question and we'll see what CSS is needed.
