[Resolved] Featured images in archives have different sizes

Hi there!

I’ve just updated GeneratePres in the website attached and now all featured images in archives have different sizes.
The images before the update had a fixed size like 500 x 340 px max. and the image only used that space proportionally. Now I have some images larger than others and the layout is misaligned.

I’ve tried changing the image sizes in customizer but I can’t get the same layout as before.

Is this happening because of the update? Is it possible to have the image sizes like before the update?

Hi Leo, and thanks for your response.

Yes I had set an image size of 500x340px but the images aren’t cropped, instead they seem to fit the width keeping the height proportional to its original size resulting in misaligned post columns.

I installed the cron plugin but I only see:
wp_image_processing_queue_cron_interval 300 (5 minutes) Every 5 Minutes
This is in the Cron Scheduling list (items in this list cannot be edited or run)

In the WP-Cron Events lists (can edit items) there is nothing as an image related cron.

I changed the images sizes two days ago but still can’t see any changes in the frontend.

The picture on the bottom left corner is incorrect because the original image is 500×221. You can’t crop something to be bigger.

Yes there are some images smaller than the selected image dimensions.

I’m not sure, but before the update I thought that images smaller were adjusted to fit the 500x340px featured image space. If you tell me that it wasn’t that way even before the update, we will consider the problem solved.
