Hello,
It is so strange and annoying. As I had to add a new Page header image, i realized that all of these Header images had disappeared on the website …
Any idea what might have happened?

Now Page headers are separated from the article. So I have to re-create/integrate all of them!
Pity I had not realized this before !!!

Hi there,
Yes the new page header is now a custom post type. It’s to make it easier for people who want to apply the same header everywhere without creating duplicated headers.
The existing page headers on existing page/posts should still be in the meta box as that’s not migrated over.
If you still prefer the old way then try this filter: https://docs.generatepress.com/article/generate_page_header_legacy_metabox/
