Featured Image only in Landscape Format?

How can I avoid photographs being displayed in portrait format as featured image on the blog page. My Homepage starts with a 3 column blog page. Can I crop the portrait or tweak it to be in line with the height of the landscape image in the neighborhood?

Hi there,

theres no automatic way to detect an image is portrait/landscape and crop the image accordingly.

What you can try is setting a specific width/height for your Featured Images in Customizer > Layout > Blog. This will be applied to all images.
