    Dear GP team,

I managed to fiddle myself into a situation where the featured image is hidden underneath the post content. For an example.

In this example you should see an embedded Vimeo player on top of the featured image for the post:

What have I done and how to revert to a more default setting where the content stacks vertically?

    Thanks in advance,

    Hi there,

Not too sure what you mean here – what should that example look like?

    Let me know ๐Ÿ™‚

Here are two images to clarify what I mean.

This first one shows the problem where a Vimeo embed (first content in post, made with Gutenberg blocks) covers the top part of the featured image set for the post:

    problem

Ideally I would like the featured image to feature above or below the post content, like this example image:

    this would be better

Now I realized I can disable ‘featured image’ in Post > Layout (sidebar) > Disable Elements > ‘Featured image / Page header’ so I might do that.

Is it intended behaviour to place featured image on top of the post content like shown in my first example?

Thanks for your help, hope I’m making myself clear this time and the solution I found could help others.

    Hi there,

It was sitting on top because it was being told to align left.

If you change the featured image alignment to center, it won’t do that: https://docs.generatepress.com/article/adjusting-the-featured-images/
