Featured Image - Hiding on Single Posts But Keeping It Elsewhere...

I'm new to GeneratePress, working on a staging site and trying to implement some changes to improve the site speed that I struggle with on my current live site (Avada theme). I've read a lot about moving any large featured images down below some intro text to improve speeds, which is fine...but then I'd like to keep a featured image associated with single posts so that my "recent posts" show those images rather than text-only.
Is there a way to hide featured images on blog posts, but have them show up in "recent posts"? I'm currently using the WP Show Posts Plug-in that came with a demo site I downloaded from GeneratePress.
Hope this makes sense!
Hi Agnes,
You can hide featured image for blog in customizer > layout > blog.
https://docs.generatepress.com/article/adjusting-the-featured-images/
Just uncheck the Display featured images for Archives.
Thanks, Ying!
No problem :)
I have the same problem.
I've unchecked the Display featured images for Archives and Posts but images are still displayed!
Do I need to install some kind of plugin to disable images to appear in single posts?
And I'm using the WP Show Posts Plug-in too.
Hi there,
can you raise a new topic and share a link to your site where we can see the issue ?
I actually haven't published any posts yet, but I'm just using the preview option now
OK - so is the Image added to the Featured Image field or in the post content ?
It's added to the featured image field.
Hi Sasa,
Please raise a new topic and link us to a post.
We need to see the code as this issue can happen with varies causes.
