Featured image behavior

Hi Guys,
I'd just like to verify my observations regarding featured images:
* When I set a featured image in the post/page settings panel, it will display in the location specified in the Customizer. It will also be available for use by archive pages, SEO plugins, and social media.
* If I set a featured image, then disable it under "Disable Elements" in the settings panel, it will not be displayed on single pages, but will still be used by archives, SEO plugins and social media.
Is this correct, or am I missing something?

Hi there,
Yes - disable element only works in single posts/the post you are editing on.
I'm not sure about the SEO or social media part - SEO plugin usually allows you to set a specific picture you want when sharing.
Each SEO plugin has different default settings I think.
