[Feature request] Background images color overlay

Dear Tom,
In Generatepress it is currently possible to set both a background image for a section (e.g. the footer widget area) and a background color for the section. But these 2 override each other, namely the image overrides the color.
I would like to have the option to make these work together, for example to be able to set an overlay color for the background image.
Do you think this might be possible?

Hi there,
This request has only been brought up a handful of times.
We will definitely consider it when Sections gets a make over in order for it to be compatible with Gutenberg.
For now the easiest way is to use a photo editing software to add on the overlay color before you upload as a background image :)
