    Hi GP Team,

I guess you already know, that the new kadence theme has a header builder to build nice headers in a easy way. Is the GP team thinking about to build also such a option into GP Pro? πŸ™‚

    Cheers

    Hi there,

yeah thats a pretty smart feature that a few themes are offering.

Will we provides something similar in the future? Simple answer is yes.
Will it be a customizer based Header only feature – no.
We will ‘simply’ extend the functionality of the current Block Element to do this kind of thing and so much more.

    Hi David,

Cool! Do you have already a clue when such a option would be available (weeks, months, year)? πŸ™‚

Nothing definitive yet as theres a lot of moving parts, some of which are out of our control.

    Hi David,

I see. But does that means, that the GP Framework can’t provide currently a header builder like kadence or others? Or are you want to do something new and special and have to wait for new tech frameworks etc.?

    Cheers

Our aim is to NOT introduce a proprietary customizer interface that may become obsolete as WP Full Site Editing evolves.

Today we have the foundations for building Headers in the Block Element.
The theme also has countless number of hooks which can all be accessed via the block element.
This covers the vast majority of use cases. eg. a Call to Action button in the nav.
Once the Nav Block is available users will be able to create the full header in the block editor.
